Bars & Clubs in Davos

Piano Bar

Everyone on holiday in Davos seems to end up at the piano bar around 3am at least one night during their stay. However, for many the partay at the piano bar starts a lot earlier than that! After a fine day on the slopes, masses of skiers head to this Bar which is located at the Hotel Europe. At the piano bar you can enjoy fine cigars, an expansive array of whiskeys and sing along piano music. The default after party spot during the World Economic Forum, where traditional raucous boozing gives way to midnight singing sessions alongside the pianist. The brilliant and entertaining Barry Colson plays here for a few weeks during the season and draws in large crowds from all over the area. Definitely not to be missed if you are some old fashioned fun.

Pöstli Club

When you are in Davos we most highly recommend the Pöstli Club; chic, exclusive and happening: this is the place to be in Davos. The stunning and chilled exterior gets rammed during the weekends, infamous for attracting all kinds of sporting personalities, musicians and artists. The local DJs favour ‘the classics’; you will hear anything from Led Zeppelin to Madonna, if you are looking for something a little more eclectic, perhaps go elsewhere. This is not somewhere to try to après ski, ski gear is out of place here and you must dress smartly in order to gain entry. You must also be over the age of 23 to enter; this can be frustrating if one of your group is underage. Yet, you will notice the difference when you are inside as the atmosphere is sophisticated yet wild.
